Kidnastics has proudly served the Los Alamitos community since 1977 offering quality gymnastics for boys and girls of all ages. During the 40+ years of our gyms history it has been an honor to be apart of many local and neighboring families lives. Many of our gymnasts who worked out at our original location on Florista St. now bring their own children and even their grandchildren to Kidnastics. In 2002, the long time Manager of the gym at that time, Cheryl Vuong and her husband Chung decided to purchase the gym from their mentors Dale and Sharon Williamson. The Vuong’s continued the traditions that the Williamsons began and also added a few new programs of their own like All-Star cheerleading, Ninja Stars Program, Summer & Winter camps, just to name a few. All of this while raising two young children Caden and Maddie with the help of their Grandparents Barbara (Tutu) and Sonny (Papa) Hamocon. Besides helping raise their grandchildren the Hamocon’s took pride in serving as the Kidnastics janitors and as Tutu came to be known the “jack of all trades” helping with office work, payroll, vending, and any last minute projects thrown her way. Sadly in 2016, Tutu passed away and then only 2 short years later, Papa passed as well.
